My wife suddenly stepped into view and began stripping.

I can't make you play but I can make you give birth to the next generation of players.

I could feel him entering my body taking control of me.

I walked towards what was once my wife. The next generation of players would be born and the game would continue. The game does not end until we say it ends.

I'm alone again. I asked him to save her... He did. By taking her away. Making her just another part of him.


I have to continue this game all alone now...

She's dying.

She's dying. I can't do anything and she's dying. I can't do anything but you can. You're a god you control the world you can save her. I know you can please just save her. I don't care what it costs me but save her please.

I've tried everything to help her but I don't know what I gave her and there are no doctors anymore to help her. I don't have any medical training. I can't even try to figure out what's wrong. For all I know I could have given her any matter of horrific diseases or poisons.

She's getting worse every day I don't think she'll make it much longer. She knows what happened she was awake up until a day ago I told her what I did. She says she forgives me and that it was an honest mistake. She seemed so calm. She forgives me but I won't forgive myself if she dies because of my lack of caution. There has to be something I can do.

The other Fears are all gone I didn't think... But of course these would still exist...

The pills I got were tampered with. Oathbreaker pills. They could be placebos or worse. Fuck what have I done?!

Across the countryside

I'm getting way better at killing small animals than I have any right to be.

I shouldn't say where we are but the bastard knows anyways so I might as well say that if we've been following the map properly we are currently in... Um Calgary I think. Wait... There's no way we could have traveled that far already. Huh guess we have no idea where we are. Whatever it's secluded. My wife isn't healing quite as smoothly as I had hoped but I'm sure I got the meds to her in time. So hopefully she'll get better.

Updates

So wife is doing better but we've had too many encounters with infected people and animals. We need to move somewhere safer as soon as possible.

I am the king of stealth! Snuck my way to and through a crowded hospital. Hid in closets, vents, behind machines, under beds, every possible hiding place to get to a medication cabinet then realized I had no way to carry medications so snuck around till I got a bag than snuck back to the cabinet. I then stole all the medicine  and snuck back out. I wasn't as clean this time and someone "saw" me. I had to run until they "lost track" and then make my way through infected animal infested areas till I reached my wife and gave her the medicine.

Take that Dying Man. I aced your god damn challenge.

I should have kept my mouth shut.

The wound is infected. I'm actually not that surprised. I don't have any medicine or way to treat her. I guess this is the new challenge then. Try and sneak into a hospital to treat my wife's wound?

Well fine then I accept. I can handle whatever you throw at me. My wife had a map so I checked where the nearest hospital is and I'm heading there now. I don't know whether bringing her with me is the smart plan but I'm not leaving her alone.

Upping The Ante

So we've run into a large group of animals and had to sneak past a few groups of Dying Men. I think The Dying Man is upping The Difficulty level.


My wife got bitten by one of the creatures. I hope it doesn't get infected that would be the last thing we need.

The Dying Man spoke to me again... I tried to ignore it but...


I get it. You're sad. Get over it already. You haven't moved in days. You're beginning to bore me. I was thinking of killing your wife to punish you but that would probably not have the desired effect. So instead I've decided that a few of myself will have a spontaneous camping trip in your area. Better be gone before they arrive.

We should probably go... We need to move on. We need to survive this game. We're leaving now who knows where to.

Assuming she's good at the game. The Child was a necessary kill. It would be a distraction in the future challenges. Now you're free to play and focus on each other.

If it's consolation I don't care enough to hate you but if I did I probably would.

She's dead... A bolt of lightning just came down and killed her. My daughter is dead. Dying Man, why? Why did you kill her? Is this part of your game? Are you going to kill my wife too? You wanted me to find them just so you could kill them in front of me? Is that it you sick bastard?

I found her.

I found her. We're remaining wary of each other though. This could still be a trap. Especially since The Dying Man helped me find her. Those messages were leading me. Like that old game. The closer you get the hotter you are and the farther the colder. I don't remember the name of that game but that's what he was doing.

So now that I found her and my daughter what's the next part of the game? Is it back to just survive for now?
